Global Citizen Science Month – April – is an annual event to celebrate and promote all things citizen science: amazing discoveries, incredible volunteers, hardworking practitioners, inspiring projects, and anything else citizen science-related!  It helps our scientists gather information about weather changes, migration of birds, populations of insects, etc). Galway Public Library participated in  I See Change for the month.

All you have to do is take pictures of any changes you see in our environment (ie. trees starting to bloom, birds arriving, insects appearing, etc.). Upload the picture to our Facebook page or email to galwaygettogether@gmail.com and record the date, time and a brief description of the change you observed.

Citizen Science video: fox “talking” to Cate La Barre while she was walking in the woods off Alexander Rd. Turn on audio to hear it and watch closely at the end as the fox runs right to left.
