Programs
In November, our patrons will once again be our Artist of the Month.
From September through October we will be hosting various Autumn-Themed Art Programs. We request that art work be left at library to be used for our “November Artist of the Month”. Artist can be pick up their art work in December.
Registration will be required. Call the library 518-882-6385 to register and get details about each program. There are limits for some programs, so signup soon.
For all of the programs, materials will be supplied. A couple programs will have a small fee to cover the cost of these materials.
Saturday, September 19th, 11:00-1:00 – Faux Stained Glass
- Teens & Adults 16 and up.
- Limit 20 people, sign up soon!
- Cost $4.00 to cover materials.
- This program involves a 2-part process.
- Creating the leading outlines of the design, this is to be done several days prior to the program date, as the leading needs time to dry. Come to the library to do this part. Materials and directions will be provided.
- Painting the design, done during the program.
- Frames will not be included.
- Snack and beverages will be provided.
Thursday, September 24thth, 5:30-7:30 – Acrylic Painting
- Teens & Adults
- Limit 16 people, sign up soon!
- $5.00 fee to cover materials.
- Learn the techniques and tricks to acrylic painting.
- Paint 1 beautiful Fall scene.
- Snacks and beverages will be provided,
- All materials will be provided.
- Kat McCleneghen will teach you how to paint a wonderful fall scene using acrylic paints.
Saturday, October 17th, 11:00-1:00 – Decorated Wine Bottle
- Teens & Adults 16 and up.
- Create a unique decorated wine bottle using various materials.
- All materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring in your own bottle to use.
Thursday, October 29th, 6:00-8:00 – Pinecone Wreaths & Centerpieces
- Teens & Adults 16 and up.
- Create your own Wreath or Centerpiece using pinecones.
- Decorate your creation.
- All materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring in your own decorations to use.
