Since 1917, local Lions clubs have offered people just like you the opportunity to give something back to their community. Today, with over 1.4 million men and women in more than 200 countries and geographical locations, Lions have expanded their focus to help meet the ever increasing needs of our society.

As a member of the Galway Lions Club, you become aware of the needs of our community and have the opportunity to effectively make a difference. Our club provides volunteers with project management assistance, leadership training, personal development opportunities, and organized fundraising programs. Being a Lion empowers you to help others in a way that no one person could alone.

Now more than ever, people with vision problems, the environment, our senior community, our youth, and the disadvantaged around the world need your help. You can make a difference. By joining the Galway Lions Club, you can help meet pressing needs in our community and around the world.

Come join the world’s largest service organization and help us make life a little more pleasant for the blind and the needy. We need your support, your time and your ideas! You’ll be surprised at how much personal satisfaction you get from helping those less fortunate.

We meet on the second and fourth Monday of every month (except in July & August) at 7:00 p.m. at the Cock ‘n Bull Restaurant in Galway.  Guests are welcome at any meeting.  If you call ahead of time we’ll be sure to be looking for you.

Membership in the Galway Lions Club brings an opportunity to serve, socialize and create lasting friendships.  Annual dues are $66 and this covers local, district and international dues.  There is also a one-time fee of $25 to cover registration.

Often multiple family members will want to join the Lions and the Internataional Board of Directors encourages this with a discount off the international dues.  Up to four additional adult family members living in the same residence are charged only $45.50 each for annual dues.

We are the largest service organization in the world, but in a new music video, we prove that we’re also the most fun.
