Wednesdays, August 4, August 11 and 18, 10:00am – 11:30am
Workshops take place on the property of Fox Hill Farm, 6003 Parkis Mills Road, Galway. If it rains, the program will be held in the
barn.
Come and join us on the farm for a three dimensional look at horses.
We’ll be visiting Fox Hill Farm in Galway for three sessions; each
session will imagine horses from a different angle.
August 4, Wednesday, 10:00am – 11:30am: Getting to know the horse: Two horse experts, a barn manager and a farrier will give us an overview of horses and their care. Includes a chance to try your hand at some basic horse handling.
August 11, Wednesday,10:00am – 11:30am: Drawing horses: We’ll consider the horse from an artist’s point of view with area artists Regina Doi and Benno Kollegger who will help you draw and paint a horse from a real model.
August 18, Wednesday, 10:00am – 11:30am: Horse stories: Bring and share a horse story you have written (one page). We’ll read the stories out loud and talk about how to make them gallop off the page.
September 4, Saturday, 11:00am-12:00am : Horse stories read at the library.
